How much Weight does an A Frame Truck Handle?
Hand Truck A Frame
A Frame Truck with your Choice of Casters
Hi. I am looking for an A frame truck. Do you sell these? How much weight can each one handle?
Hello. Thank you for your inquiry! We do sell a highly durable A frame truck that is manufactured with a reinforced twelve (12) gauge steel deck. This hand truck is available in a variety of different colors and is great for transporting sheet stock, panels, slabs, and in process parts.
The amount of weight that these trucks can handle depends on which wheel caster you choose to place on the truck. For standard transportation, the five inch (5") polyurethane casters are a long-lasting choice. When manufactured with these wheels, the A frame has a suggested load capacity of 1,400 pounds. Casters designed for a heavy-duty load capacity are made of five inch (5") steel casters and can handle up to 2000 pounds. If you're looking for a hand truck that can handle more than 2000 pounds, the extra heavy duty six inch (6") phenolic casters can handle up to 3,200 pounds.
